WRAP GIFTS SUSTAINABLY

Gift is packaged sustainably
It's not just the environment that is happy about these sustainably packaged gifts.

WRAPPING GIFTS IN A DIFFERENT WAY!

There is almost nothing better than receiving presents! As a child, you always longingly received the wrapped presents and tore open the wrapping paper as quickly as possible. What's left of the packaging? A lot of paper waste! But that doesn't have to be the case: if you wrap gifts with a cord instead of sticky tape, for example, you can use the paper several times. And to add variety to packaging and giving away, there are now many beautiful, original and, above all, sustainable ideas - let yourself be inspired!

WELL-HEELED: MULTI-FACETED PACKAGED WITH THE FUROSHIKI TECHNIQUE

Presents wrapped in scarves
The Christmas presents are already dry.

In Japan, gifts are traditionally wrapped in pretty towels. With the selection of the material, the pattern and the special folding technique, every gift receives a personal note - without any paper!

This type of packaging is not new, after all, Furoshiki has been part of Japanese culture since the 17th century, but it is still in use today. In this way, even bulky gifts can be beautifully wrapped and with the diverse instructions on the Internet you will also become a Furoshiki professional very quickly.

You can use different cloths for wrapping, it mainly depends on the size of the gift. Napkins and kitchen towels are just as suitable as scarves and tablecloths.

Tip: It becomes even more personal if you have the scarf embroidered with a message or the name of the recipient.

HERE YOU WILL FIND SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS TO REALLY GET INTO THE FOLDING FEVER:

Instruction of the Furoshiki technique

Place the gift so that the lengths point to the tips of the scarf. Now first tie two opposite corners together with a simple knot over the gift and pull them tight.

  • Then take the other two ends and knot them together above the first knot.
  • Here and there you can adjust the cloth a little and it is already packed! With a pendant or flowers you can embellish the gift even further and personalize it. Have fun practicing and packing.
A little more decoration as a present
A little more decoration and your sustainably packaged gift is ready!

KEIN GESCHENKPAPIER? KEIN PROBLEM!

Embellish with stickers

Homemade in the glass
Ein Einmachglas kann später wiederverwendet werden.

Admittedly, the gift in a transparent glass may no longer be a big surprise. But there are two gifts in one! With a homemade baking mix, there is not only delicious biscuits, but also a practical mason jar that can later be used in the kitchen or bathroom for storage or as a cool vase.

It is best to use a simple recipe for filling, in which the ingredients are mixed together. These can be, for example, delicious muffin, cookie or cake recipes. Also a great last-minute gift, by the way!
